How often to change: tire rotation
Tire rotation: Typically every 8,000–12,000 km (5,000–7,500 miles), often with every oil change.
Your owner's manual or service booklet gives the interval for your car. Severe use, such as towing, short trips, dusty roads or extreme temperatures, usually means shorter intervals.
Why it matters
Front and rear tires wear differently. Rotating them evens out wear and extends tire life.
Signs it is due
- Visibly more wear on front tires
- Uneven wear patterns
