How often to change: cabin air filter
Cabin air filter: Typically every 15,000–30,000 km or once a year; more often in dusty or polluted areas.
Your owner's manual or service booklet gives the interval for your car. Severe use, such as towing, short trips, dusty roads or extreme temperatures, usually means shorter intervals.
Why it matters
Keeps pollen and dust out of the cabin and protects the A/C evaporator.
Signs it is due
- Weak airflow from the vents
- Musty smell
- Windows fogging up
