Can I keep driving? Limit driving and diagnose promptly. Continued driving can cause damage, stalling or limp mode.
What to do
- Be prepared for heavy steering, especially at low speed.
- On hydraulic systems, check the fluid level.
- On electric systems, have the codes read; low battery voltage can also cause it.
Symbols and colours vary between manufacturers. Your owner's manual shows the exact symbols used in your car. In general, red means stop or act now, amber/yellow means check soon, and green/blue lights are information only.
