ABS warning light
The anti-lock braking system has a fault and is disabled. Normal brakes should still work, but wheels can lock under hard braking.

UrgencyModerate
Can I keep driving? Drivable with care. Diagnose soon: performance, economy or other components can be affected.
What to do
- Drive carefully and leave extra stopping distance.
- Have the ABS codes read; wheel speed sensors are a common cause.
- If the red brake light is also on, treat it as a brake system fault.
Symbols and colours vary between manufacturers. Your owner's manual shows the exact symbols used in your car. In general, red means stop or act now, amber/yellow means check soon, and green/blue lights are information only.
