What to do

  1. Top up with ISO 22241 AdBlue/DEF.
  2. Many vehicles will refuse to restart once the tank is empty, so don't ignore the countdown.
  3. If it stays on after filling, have the system checked.

Symbols and colours vary between manufacturers. Your owner's manual shows the exact symbols used in your car. In general, red means stop or act now, amber/yellow means check soon, and green/blue lights are information only.
