Torque wrench tips
- Use the value and tightening sequence from the vehicle's service information.
- Many modern engine bolts are torque-to-yield (torque plus angle) and must be replaced after use.
- Lubricated threads reach a much higher clamp load at the same torque: only lubricate if the specification says so.
- Tighten wheel nuts in a star pattern, and re-check after the first 50–100 km.
