EV Charging Time & Cost Calculator
How long an electric car takes to charge on AC or DC, and what it costs.
How it works
AC power = voltage × current (× √3 for three-phase at 400 V line voltage), limited by the car's onboard charger. DC charging power is limited by both the charger and the car. Energy needed = capacity × (target − current) ÷ efficiency. DC fast charging slows down considerably above about 80%, so the DC estimate is only reliable up to about 80%.
